Below the Aria hotel, a small spa in the centre of Pest with a pool, jacuzzi, hammam and two saunas, for when the big baths feel like a festival.
Be there when it opens
It opens at seven. Walk past St Stephen's Basilica before the tour groups, through the hotel lobby and down to the pool.
Jacuzzi, sauna, steam, a lounge chair. By the time you're back on the street the city is awake and you've already had the best hour of the day.
Why this one
In the inner city the choice is between hotel spas. Kempinski's on Erzsébet tér is the other serious one; Harmony adds a hammam and a jacuzzi.
It's the one pick here for people staying in the centre who want quiet water, not a thermal palace.
