The verdict
A massage centre in Testaccio with a private hammam: steam, a self-scrub, a savonage foam wash, herbal tea and a 50-minute massage for €85.
Take the one most guests choose
Spa Armonia is the package the spa marks as most chosen. For €95 you get the private hammam, the scrub and the savonage, tea, an express facial and a 60-minute massage, then a glass of prosecco.
Rest with herbal tea afterwards. Staff speak English, one guest notes, and the spa is yours alone for the session.
Why this one
Bahr City Spa by the Pantheon, 2.3 km north, also books a private Turkish bath, and adds a sauna and a whirlpool.
Concept Image is the pick south of the centre for the full hammam sequence, with the savonage foam wash and a long massage in one price.
What guests notice
“I did the Tibetan path with a massage and the singing bowls.”
Marieke Lenaerts, Google review
“She was able to get all the sore spots in my body, she was gentle when needed and hard when needed.”
Jacinta Bell, Google review

You want a sauna or a pool. The heat here is the hammam alone; Thalea near Termini has a pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna.
