The verdict
A men-only sauna by Nakameguro station: auto-löyly at about 90 degrees, a cold bath near 14 degrees and a rest room lit by projections; from ¥1,500.
Go in the morning
Morning entry, 06:00 to 10:30, is ¥1,500 on weekdays and ¥2,000 at weekends; the afternoon costs ¥2,000 and ¥2,800, and the evening ¥2,500 and ¥3,000. Each is a free-time ticket with no time limit.
Reviews describe a dimly lit sauna at about 90 degrees and a cold bath of 14 to 15 degrees. The rest room has reclining chairs under projection mapping; there is no hot tub.
Why this one
Nothing else in Shibuya and Ebisu passed our rules. SAUNA ZEN in Ebisu calls itself fully members-only, so it is left out.
