The verdict
Private sauna rooms in a Ginza basement, six designs, each with löyly you pour yourself and its own chilled cold bath; open 24 hours, same-sex rooms only.
Book a room, pour your own löyly
In each of the six rooms you choose the timing of the löyly, the temperature, the music and the light. A chiller holds the cold bath steady, at 13 to 18 degrees depending on the room.
Reception is unmanned: a QR code opens the door, at any hour. At the Ginza branch men and women cannot share a room, so book two.
Why this one
Nothing else in Ginza and Nihonbashi passed our rules with water or heat.
KUDOCHI scores 3, the lowest in Tokyo: its 4.6 earns 1 rating point, and room prices appear only in the booking system.
What guests notice
“Practically did a contrast therapy session there, alternating between sauna and cold plunges.”
Rania, Google review
“We have booked and paid for a sauna room for 2 hours. However, once an hour have passed, we heard someone knocking on the door furiously.”
