A small hotel spa in the 17th with an 11-metre pool, a hammam, a red-cedar sauna and an ice fountain, open to non-guests from 55 euros on weekdays.
Go on a weekday morning
The spa opens at 10:00, and weekday access costs 55 euros against 80 at weekends. Swim the 11-metre pool and sit in its overflow jacuzzi, then move between the hammam and the red-cedar sauna.
Cool off at the ice fountain or in the salt cave. Several guests call the spa small, so a quiet morning matters more here than in a big hotel spa.
Why this one
Spa du Fouquet's on Avenue George V, 1.8 km south-west, has the same score. It has a heated 15-metre pool, a sauna, a hammam, an ice room and an outdoor jacuzzi, with day offers from 170 euros.
The tie goes to j'Adore on reviews, 367 against 53. It is also the cheaper door: two hours' access for 55 euros, where Fouquet's day offers start at 170.

Skip it if
You want hot water. One guest found the pool and jacuzzi too cold; another says the jacuzzi is set at 31°C, the same as the pool. Fouquet's is the larger alternative.
