The verdict
A Russian banya in the 15th, booked by the group: a private chalet, aromatic steam and a parenie by a steam master, from 95 euros each.
Go with two friends
The Banya Rituel is built for one to three people over one and a half to three hours. Aromatic steam, then the parenie in the steam sauna, then a soaping.
Between rounds, a bucket of cold water tips over you from above. Finish with herbal tea, honey and small biscuits.
Why this one
Sensation Spa near the Invalides, 1.7 km north, also books its heat privately, with a hammam, a sauna and a jacuzzi, from 100 euros an hour for two.
Banya No.1 is for people who want the heat applied to them: a steam master runs the parenie, and one guest describes a high-temperature sauna ritual.
