The verdict
A neighbourhood spa uphill in Horta-Guinardó with a saltwater hydromassage pool, a dry sauna, jacuzzis and contrast showers, an hour's circuit for €34.
Bring a group of four
Groups of four or more have the spa to themselves for the hour; no one else comes in. For six to ten people, an hour costs €31 each.
The circuit starts in the saltwater pool, with jets at the lower back and calves, a water cannon and a waterfall; the house suggests about 30 minutes there. Then the dry sauna, one to five minutes at a time.
Why this one
Nothing else in the zona alta passed our rules. Roc Nature's 4.5 is the lowest rating on this list.
It earns its place with the water, a saltwater pool, jacuzzis and a sauna, and with every price on its own site. Nadinne in Gràcia, 2.7 km south-east, is the smaller alternative.
