A Ubud day spa that takes heat seriously: herbal sauna, a steam room it calls a hammam, a jacuzzi and a pool in an organic garden.
Go at ten, when it opens
The packages start in the heat: 20 to 25 minutes of sauna and hammam before anyone touches you. Then a glove scrub and a Korean-style peel.
Both packages end with a hair wash, ginger and lemongrass tea and fruit; the longer Sakura adds a head spa. Book the extra sauna for 100K if you want to go back in.
Why this one
Hesa Wellness, 640 m away, has more reviews (5.0 from 4,911), a hammam, a steam room and hot and cold plunge pools. It sells two hours of facilities on their own for IDR 300,000 plus VAT.
Amati adds a swimming pool and an organic garden to the heat, and that is what put it ahead on our rules.

Skip it if
You know a real hammam scrub and expect one: the guest quoted above, used to a kessa scrub every 15 days, found the scrub short and wanted an oil-stripping soap first. If you only want the hot and cold plunges, Hesa sells them by the session.
