Athens: a hammam by the Acropolis and a Kolonaki spa with a sauna

Athens had Ottoman bathhouses, and one building survives: the Bath House of the Winds, which worked as a bath until 1965 and has been a museum since 1998. Today's hammams are a revival, and we found no line back to the old baths, so none carries our Ritual tag.

Two places passed our rules, at least 1 km apart. Psyrri, Koukaki, Exarchia and the riviera have no pick: nothing there had a bath, sauna or pool we could verify. Plaka has two strong hammams side by side, and only one can take the district.
