Tbilisi: two sulphur bathhouses and a Vake spa with a sauna
Tbilisi's bath is the sulphur bath. Abanotubani, the 'bath district' below the Narikala fortress, sits on hot sulphur springs; legend says King Vakhtang Gorgasali's falcon fell into one, which led him to found a new capital here. By the end of the 13th century the city had 65 baths.
Most of Abanotubani's bathhouses today sit under our rating line: Gulo's at 4.1, the Royal Bath at 4.0 and Bathhouse No. 5 at 3.8. Three places passed, at least 1 km apart, and the two sulphur baths carry our Ritual tag.
